Privacy policy
What we collect through this website, why, and what we do not do with it.
Status: Starter text. This page must be reviewed by the business owner and a qualified legal adviser for the jurisdictions it operates in before launch. Items marked “to be confirmed” depend on business decisions that have not been made yet.
Who we are
This website is operated by Revise and Resubmit. The legal entity name, registered address, and privacy contact details are to be confirmed and will be published here and on the contact page.
What we collect
We collect only what you choose to send through the enquiry form: your name, email address, institution (optional), research discipline, the service you’re interested in, your manuscript’s stage, target journal (optional), approximate length (optional), your deadline, and a short description of the project. The form records that you agreed to this policy.
The form does not accept file uploads. Please don’t include confidential participant information, identifiable patient data, unpublished data, or passwords in your description.
Like most websites, the server or hosting provider may record technical information in access logs, such as IP address, browser type, and the pages requested, for security and reliability. The hosting provider and its log retention are to be confirmed.
Why we use it
- To read and respond to your enquiry, and to prepare a proposal if you ask for one.
- To protect the form from abuse, for example by limiting repeated submissions.
- To keep a record of correspondence about a project you go on to agree.
We do not use enquiry information for advertising, we do not sell it, and we do not add you to marketing lists without separate consent.
Who it is shared with
When you submit the enquiry form, your enquiry is sent by email through our email provider to our inbox, and a one-off confirmation is emailed to the address you give. The email provider, and its data-processing terms, are to be confirmed before launch. We do not otherwise share enquiry information, unless required by law.
How long we keep it
Enquiries that do not lead to a project should be deleted after a defined period; project records are kept as long as needed for the engagement and any legal obligations. The specific retention periods are to be confirmed.
Your choices and rights
You can ask us what information we hold about you, ask us to correct or delete it, or withdraw from further contact, by writing to us through the contact page. Depending on where you live, data-protection law may give you further rights. Which laws apply to this business, and the corresponding legal basis for processing, are to be confirmed with legal advice.
Cookies and tracking
This website does not use analytics, advertising, or tracking cookies. See the cookie policy for details, including what will change if that ever changes.
Changes to this policy
If our practices change, for example if analytics are added, we will update this page before the change takes effect and date the revision.
